ABOUT US
BACKGROUND
The Africa Deaf Mission Alliance (ADMA) was established in 2018 with a vision to empower the Deaf community across Africa, both spiritually and socially. In 2020, ADMA received its official registration certificate from the Government of Tanzania, following a strategic board meeting held in Kenya, where representatives from several countries elected a new board to guide the organization’s mission.
One of ADMA’s core purposes is to support Bible translation into African Sign Languages, ensuring that Deaf individuals have access to God’s Word in a language they fully understand. This mission addresses a significant gap in spiritual resources for the Deaf community, helping bring the Gospel to millions who have been historically overlooked.
Did you know that out of the 75 million Deaf people worldwide, approximately 40 million live in Africa? This staggering statistic underlines the urgent need for coordinated efforts to support Deaf individuals with resources, education, advocacy, and spiritual growth.
Today, ADMA operates in 20 countries across Africa, collaborating with churches, ministries, Deaf organizations, and leaders to promote inclusion, empowerment, and faith. Through advocacy, education, and cross-border partnerships, ADMA strives to build a continent where Deaf people are valued, included, and spiritually nourished.
